AION 2 Stuck on Loading Screen: Restart or Test Your Network

What should you try if AION 2 is stuck on preparing or loading?

If the launch stalls and Aion2.exe remains running, end that process and fully restart the launcher. In particular, check for this when Play briefly turns into Stop, then changes back without getting you into the game.

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager and look for Aion2.exe.
2. If it is still running, end it, fully close the launcher, and open the launcher again.
3. Restart your PC if the process refuses to close or startup has frozen repeatedly.
4. On Steam, open Library, right-click AION 2, and choose Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
5. Let the scan finish, then launch from your Library. Steam will download missing or damaged files again.

For the next launch test, fully exit MSI Afterburner, RivaTuner Statistics Server, and other monitoring applications that draw information over the game. Disable enabled Discord, Steam, and NVIDIA overlays too. You can start by closing applications rather than uninstalling them.

If the game launches with those applications closed, enable them one at a time. Stop when the problem returns: that gives you a specific application to investigate instead of changing everything at once.

What if AION 2 is stuck on the login screen?

If you see Unable to connect to game server. Moving to login screen, check AION 2 announcements for maintenance or server trouble before changing your installation. During maintenance, login is usually unavailable, and players already online may be disconnected.

The message can appear with C:213840. That code alone does not tell you whether the server or your connection is responsible.

1. Try another available server without deleting your character or requesting a transfer.
2. If another server works, check announcements for the original server. When many players report the same server problem, wait for an official recovery notice.
3. If every server fails, restart your router and try a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi.
4. Briefly test your PC through your phone's hotspot and compare the result with your home connection.

For authentication trouble, open Settings > Time & language > Date & time. Check your time zone, enable automatic time setting, and select Sync now. If you use a VPN or manually configured proxy, test without it. An ordinary connection timeout does not require changing your account country.

To clear the DNS cache, open Command Prompt as administrator, run ipconfig /flushdns, and restart the launcher. You can then test different DNS settings separately: press Win+R, enter ncpa.cpl, open your active connection's properties, and select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4). Record the previous settings before trying 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Restore the old values or automatic DNS assignment if it does not help.

What if AION 2 won't launch because of a DirectX 12 error?

Run Windows Update first. The only success report so far came from a Windows 10 player on a GTX 1050 Ti: DirectX 12 showed as undetected even though dxdiag listed feature level 12_1, and the game ran after they used Microsoft's Windows 10 upgrade app (ending on 22H2, build 19045.2965). Another PC in the same house with the same card and Windows 10 launched fine, which points at that Windows install rather than the hardware.

To see what you have, open Start, type dxdiag, and read DirectX Version under System Information on the first page. DirectX 12 only arrives through Windows Update; there is no separate installer to download.

GTX 1070 and RTX 4070 Ti Super owners reported the same message, so don't buy a new graphics card because of it. Do compare your PC with the listed requirements: 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 and DirectX 12, with a GTX 1050 Ti 4 GB or Radeon RX 470 4 GB at minimum and an RTX 2070 8 GB or Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB recommended.

What if your AION 2 verification code never arrives?

The code comes from @mail.plaync.com. Either a mailbox rule is blocking that domain, or the email landed in Spam, Junk, or Promotions; check both, because an empty inbox tells you neither.

1. Allow the sender. In your mailbox's filter or blocked-sender settings, make sure nothing blocks @mail.plaync.com.
2. Open Spam and Junk. Filtered codes end up here even when the inbox looks empty.
3. Open Promotions too. Gmail in particular can file the code there.
4. Still nothing? Submit an inquiry from the verification email page on AION 2 Support.

Where do you enter the code for device registration?

In the Taiwan PC flow, the code goes into phone number verification inside security settings. Until a device is registered, that account is restricted when connecting on PC.

1. Log in and open security settings at the lower left of the main screen.
2. Read the security protection information and join the service.
3. Enter the code from your phone in the phone number verification step.
4. Name the device and register it.
5. Confirm. The screen shows a completion message with the date, and the security protection area lists the device as registered.

Registration status only updates when you log in. If you finished it inside the game and still can't connect, log out and back in before trying anything else.

What should you do if AION 2 is still stuck?

Contact Support with the exact point where loading stops and the results of your launch and connection tests. Specify whether it happens after the logo, at character selection, while entering the world, or when loading a dungeon.

Include your launcher (Steam or PURPLE), Windows version and build, CPU, GPU, graphics driver version, and the full error text or a screenshot. For a server connection failure, add your country, ISP, approximate start time, and whether another network changes the result. List the fixes you have already tried so Support can start with those results.
