Classes and BuildsPvE / PvP

Use this AION 2 classes hub to choose a main that fits your preferred combat style and turn that choice into a practical build. Compare melee and ranged damage, tanking, healing, and hybrid support before spending on upgrades. The build guides cover skill priorities, specializations, Stigma choices, and progression systems where those details are available. Start with the content you want to play, then match your setup to your current skill levels and party needs.

Choose a Role Before a Ranking

Gladiator offers aggressive melee damage, crowd control, and AoE attacks. Assassin emphasizes stealth, single-target burst, and back attacks, with demanding timing and lower survivability. Ranger provides mobile ranged damage through bow attacks and traps, making distance management an important part of staying alive.

For magical damage, Sorcerer offers ranged burst and AoE spells, while Spiritmaster combines damage and control with elemental summons. Spiritmaster can keep only one elemental spirit active at a time: a new summon replaces the previous one. Fire supports sustained damage, Water helps MP recovery, Earth supplies aggro support, and Wind provides healing.

Templar absorbs pressure and holds enemy attention for the party, trading damage for frontline protection. Cleric supplies healing, recovery, and protective magic. Chanter combines buffs, healing, and damage for hybrid support. If protecting allies is your goal, the AION 2 Templar build develops that role around enmity, mitigation, and boss positioning.

Match Your Choice to PvE or PvP

The AION 2 class tier list separates PvE, PvP, and overall usefulness. Gladiator and Ranger rank S in both mode lists; Sorcerer and Spiritmaster join them in the PvE top group, while Assassin joins them in the PvP top group. These are separate assessments, so a class's damage ranking alone does not measure its value to a group.

Cleric's overall S reflects party healing and recovery, while Templar's role centers on tanking. Chanter offers buffs and recovery alongside damage. Choose the role you want to perform, then consider its tradeoffs: melee commitment, careful ranged positioning, slower solo clearing, or a more demanding rotation.

Build Around Skills You Can Use

Prioritize the skills that make your chosen rotation work, then select the required specializations. A displayed skill level alone does not complete the setup. Gladiator needs Rage Burst to enable Overhead Slam; Sorcerer buffs before fully charging Hellfire; Cleric's Condemnation sequence depends on preparing the target and selecting its critical-hit and cooldown-reset specialties.

Keep mana recovery, survival, and encounter utility in the plan. Ranger's early Snipe and Tempest Shot choices support MP sustain, while Spiritmaster uses Cold Shock between rotations and can finish on Water when mana is the problem. Defensive or healing Stigma swaps can address the pressure that prevents a damage rotation from continuing.

Coordinate support buffs before committing to a party setup. The AION 2 Chanter build explains that Undefeated Mantra does not stack with Cleric's Light of Protection, and Power of the Storm's effect does not apply while Earth's Blessing is active. Choose the preset your party needs and check the selected skills before entering combat.
