Conquest

The one mechanic you can't skip in Urugugu Canyon is Divine Aludor's Tempest Strike: when the red circle lands on one player, everyone else has to stack on them or that player dies. Kill the Wind Mage first so the wind stream carries your party to the boss. Defeat both minibosses along the way to expand your reward pool, and bring at least one other player for the final boss. The 1,400 gear-score Conquest route requires level 45 and offers accessories and weapons.

How do you clear Urugugu Canyon?

Defeat Guardian Captain Raur and Judge Urahum, kill the Urugugu Wind Mage to unlock the wind stream, then reach Auldor's Sanctum and defeat Divine Aludor together.

  1. Defeat Guardian Captain Raur. Dodge the indicated AoEs and slams. When he says “Feel your strength turned against you! Strike me!”, move far away and stay back through the delay. The large shockwave that follows can kill you, so squeezing in another attack is a bad trade.
  2. Defeat Judge Urahum. Move out of the bright pink ground effects left by his slams. They deal damage over time: the first ticks may feel small, but standing in them lets the damage build up. Defeating both minibosses adds their loot pools to the Odyle Energy Cube.
  3. Kill the Urugugu Wind Mage. Continue through the village to find this enemy. Killing it opens the wind stream your party uses to reach Auldor's Sanctum.
  4. Gather everyone before starting Divine Aludor. Wait until every party member has entered the boss area. Starting too early can lock someone out, which is especially costly when you need another player for the shared hit.
  5. Stack for Tempest Strike. When Divine Aludor disappears, group up while avoiding the tornadoes. A red circle marks one party member; stack with that player before the boss lands. Taking that hit alone is lethal.

Tornadoes can bind you in place. Their damage is less dangerous than losing the ability to reach the marked player for Tempest Strike. Keep moving around them as you group up.

You can get through the earlier dungeon alone, but Tempest Strike makes the final fight a party check. Bring at least two players into the encounter rather than planning a solo clear.

Is Urugugu Canyon worth farming for weapons?

Urugugu Canyon is an accessory and weapon route at the 1,400 gear-score bracket, but its weapon pool includes all weapon types, so a weapon drop may not be your class's weapon.

Treat it as the greedier alternative to continuing Vakron Sky Island. One player reported getting lucky with the weapon they needed through this route. That is the upside you are chasing, rather than a guaranteed class weapon.

If you choose Canyon, kill both minibosses before finishing Divine Aludor to include their loot pools in the Odyle Energy Cube. After the clear, you have completed the run with those additional reward possibilities; your next gearing choice is whether to keep chasing Canyon's accessories and weapons or continue the Sky Island route.
