To beat Vakron, jump his first three shockwaves and glide over the fourth; before that, keep thorn stacks under three and carry every element to its altar. How do you enter AION 2 Vakron Sky Island?
Open Expedition, select Exploration, and choose Vakron Sky Island once you reach level 45 and 1,400 gear score. Exploration supports a party of 2 to 5 players. You'll see the island in the left menu, with its entry requirements and Guaranteed Reward bar beside the party listings.
For an early upgrade, clear Exploration three times for the guaranteed reward box and choose your biggest equipment improvement. Then switch to Conquest to continue the Vakra Sky Island reward route. Conquest also requires level 45, with gear requirements that depend on difficulty.
How do you clear Vakron Sky Island Conquest?
Reset your thorn stacks, defeat Tiere and Thamon, then deliver the elements to their matching altars. In Conquest, you need all elements to unlock the boss area.
- Keep the thorn debuff below three stacks. Move near Fog Spiritstones periodically to reset it. At three stacks, you become snared and take continuous damage; a teammate can attack the snare to free you.
- Defeat Tiere. When she warns you about approaching her poison plants, run to her immediately. The arena fills with green poison, leaving the area near her safe. Stay together and move in one direction so targeted purple poison leaves your party room to move.
- Defeat Thamon. Avoid the small circular stone indicators when he slams the ground, then jump over the arena shockwave. Petrification leaves you unable to avoid that next hit. Both midbosses must die to unlock the boss area, and their rewards join the Odyle Energy Cube loot pool.
- Open the elemental barrier. Fly toward the stone wall, find the four elements, and offer them to the corresponding Elemental Altars. Collect the floating elements and deposit them near the boss-room kibelisk; bring all of them in Conquest.
Thamon's aura also changes when you should attack. It lasts eight seconds and heals him when the matching damage type hits him.

Don't squeeze in another matching attack during Thamon's aura. You're restoring his health. Likewise, free a snared teammate before continuous thorn damage kills them.

Jump over the first three shockwaves, glide after the third, break the red lodestone when trapped, and free restrained teammates before the boss timer expires.

Keep checking the timer while handling restraints. You need both the damage to finish the fight and living teammates to keep attacking; leaving someone trapped works against both.
Which Vakron Sky Island rewards should you choose?
Take the largest upgrade from the Exploration box, then use the Conquest guaranteed reward to fill a useful equipment gap. On the Sky Island of Barkron progression route, the Exploration chest can supply a breastplate before you spend energy in Conquest for its guaranteed reward.
For the Conquest chest, gloves are the suggested first choice if you still need them; boots are the fallback when you already have gloves.

How can Vakron gear get you toward 2,100 gear score?
Once blue Arcana cards put you around 2,000 gear score, return to Expedition and replace remaining blue equipment with yellow Vakron pieces. Compare the cloak slot first if you're still wearing a blue cloak: one player's example gains roughly 20 to 30 gear score from that swap, even when considering an upgraded blue cloak.
The yellow cloak also adds a manastone slot and allows better manastone rolls. Check those slots as well as the gear-score increase when deciding whether to replace your current cloak.
